The John Kimball, Jr. Memorial
Trust Scholarship Program

The Topsfield Historical Society is accepting grant applications for the John Kimball, Jr. Memorial Trust from history students or other history related persons having a substantial connection with Topsfield, Boxford and/or Middleton. The purpose of the Trust is to provide funding for books, tuition and other related educational and related expenses to both graduate and under graduate students, college, university, school instructors and others who have excelled in and/or have a passion for the study of history and related disciplines. Typical grants have been in the $2,500 to $3,000 range.

The Trust was set up by the family of the late Jack Kimball who was Topsfield Town Moderator for 28 years, a decorated Marine officer in World War II and Korea and partner in the Boston law firm of Hale and Dorr as well as a Topsfield Historical Society Director.

For the 2023 Scholarship year, applicants are required to submit THREE COPIES of the letter of Request form to the Kimball Memorial Trust c/o Topsfield Historical Society, PO Box 323, Topsfield, MA 01983 before April 15, 2023. Download and print the Letter of Request Form.
